Ms. Megan Kingsley
My name is Megan Kingsley and I am currently working toward obtaining my M.Ed. from the UNC-Chapel Hill School Counseling program. I am primarily working with 8th grade students under my supervisor, Ms. Clifton, although I am also available to work with students from other grades. I am working with individual students as well as new students in small group sessions on a regular basis. This coming year, I hope to gain more experience working with individual students and those who want to participate in groups discussing ways to establish a positive, healthy identity as well as the upcoming transition into high school.
I am a huge Duke fan, since I went to Duke for my undergraduate degree. In my spare time, I love to cook and bake, travel, and exercise. I also serve as the WebMaster for this website.

Mrs. Michelle Young
I’m Michelle Young, the 6th grade counselor. I am originally from Mebane, NC and currently live in Apex, NC. I hold a BA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (Go Tarheels) and most recently a MA in School Counseling from North CarolinaCentralUniversity (Go Eagles). I am excited to be here at DavisDriveMiddle School for my first year as a school counselor. This year, I look forward to meeting and helping many students and parents through the guidance program of services. I will offer individual and group counseling services for students. One of the groups, entitled “For Young Ladies Only” will focus on self-esteem. I will also go into the classrooms to conduct guidance lessons on selected topics. One of those topics will be titled, “Study Smarter, not Harder.” I believe all students could benefit from that! I am also available to meet with parents and teachers should the need arise.
When I’m not here at school I enjoy traveling and shopping. This past summer I visited Florida, South Carolina, and Connecticut. I also enjoy reading and cooking, especially baking. Finally, I treasure time spent with my family.

Mrs. Arlene Gleason
This is my 4th year in this job at Davis Drive Middle. Prior to this position, I was a substitute teacher here and before that, my husband and I saw our children attend Davis Drive Middle and to on to high school and now college.
I am responsible for all records maintenance and for getting information to the counselors as needed from students, parents, and teachers.
One of my favorite parts of the receptionist job is the interaction with the students. Seeing them grow and change within the three year time period is very rewarding.
